Research report: The Paiwand Film Club

PaiwandPresSmallIn this first report on the fieldwork being conducted for the Dorothy Project, Lead Researcher Stephanie Hemelryk Donald discusses the results of a series of workshops held with a group of 8-15 year olds in south-east England, all of whom have first or second generation experience of migration. The aim was to discuss films, make short films in groups and work out how the idea of a journey is explored or made symbolic through story-telling. The workshops sought to identify how a child’s perspective might consolidate, or differ from, that of adult film-makers and adult audiences.
